Thank you for the video! I just bought the Eastbound MotoWinch today (waiting for shipment). I bought it knowing that I did not want to lift my 2021 Africa Twin ES DCT from the throttle grip and you just showed me how - very grateful. I’ve got the full set of Outback Motortek crash bars that I can anchor the strap to on either side - should be a piece of cake to pick up the bike. Can wait to practice in my backyard when the lift arrives!

It’s a good “peace of mind” thing. And agree you should practice first. I haven’t had to use mine for real yet. But good to know it’s there as a last resort when riding alone.

The problem with your seal cleaner was explained to me by a guy that has been servicing forks for many years. 1/2 of the debri that is inbetween the fork and the seal gets shoved into the fork and gets introduced to the working internal valve components and progressively makes the quality of your ride worse and worse. When people get their forks properly serviced the difference in the ride quality is like night and day because the forks are brought back to like new condition. 1/2 as..ing a job will always produce 1/2 as..ed results.

Hi Adrian, I really like your videos, where you share your wisdom and impressions. Too old? Only you can answer that answer, taking into account what is truly important when riding a motorcycle. Most people tell you "cheer up, go ahead!" For me, the most important thing is to value safety, maneuverability, comfort and tranquility. That the adventure takes a backseat does not affect me or make me complex. I am 51 and life changes, at least my priorities have changed and I am clear that over time everything is defined, accepting some things and perhaps having to give up others. I love your reflections, because they also affect other areas of our lives: As bikers and pilgrims, have a good trip!

It does make sense to have the back gap smaller than the front so anything that gets into the guard can get out. It’s just that the back space is really too small for an adventure bike.
